Elevated Chicago receives the HUD Secretary’s Award for Public-Philanthropic Partnerships

We’re thrilled to share that the collaborative work of The Chicago Community Trust. The Chicago Department of Housing and Elevated Chicago and its ETOD Working Group was honored today with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The HUD Secretary’s Award for Public-Philanthropic Partnerships, now in its eleventh year, emphasizes partnerships between the philanthropic and public sectors. Its goal is to recognize the partnership process and its impact as a community strategy to increase the quality of life for low- and moderate-income residents across all American geographies.

This is the first time that The Trust has received this honor. Elevated Chicago thanks Andrea Saenz, Michael Davidson and Kimberly Grimshaw-Bolton for their support of our work. Our executive director Roberto Requejo was joined by City of Chicago Housing Commissioner Marissa Novara at the Denver, CO ceremonies to accept the award.
