WTTW joined Roberto Requejo, executive director of Elevated Chicago, and Melvin Thompson, executive director of the Endeleo Institute to discuss the Red Line Extension (RLE) and its proposed plans for development around the new stations. Extending the Red Line is a topic that dates back to the 1950s, and now that the wheels are in motion, there is an opportunity to develop around these stations intentionally from the start: with community engagement and residents needs as a priority.
